My copy of Rifter #43 arrived on Saturday (complain and you will received). It’s the swimsuit issue. Some of the art is good. There are some re-published Larry Elmore works as well (my apologizes if it’s new).

Rifter 43 - The Swimsuit Issue?
Monday, August 4th, 2008Where’s My Rifter???
Friday, August 1st, 2008On July 15th, Rifter #43 supposedly shipped from Palladium Books. I have not received my copy yet. I have seen it at my “local” game store. Well, at least I got my free copy of Splicer.
Robotech The Shadow Chronicles - Now Regular Size
Monday, June 16th, 2008Friday, while I was out running D&D, Palladium Books was sending the deluxe hardcover version of Robotech The Shadow Chronicles RPG to the printers. They promise more data, new illustrations, more equipment, and more spaceships.
I’m fine with deluxe editions, as long as they come out first, at the same time, or a year or two later as the regular version. When they come out soon after the first book WITH extras, it just feels wrong. I’ll wait for them to announce deluxe versions of the rest of the Robotech books before ordering.
Received my copy of The Rifter #42
Wednesday, May 7th, 2008On my way to a work-related dinner party, I stopped at home and saw I received my first copy of the Rifter. I usually don’t subscribe to magazines since I’m worried about the condition that they’ll arrive in, but this was in near mint condition. I’ve thumbed through it, and I hope to get time to actually read it this weekend.
Review - Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008I hate class/level systems, but I loved Palladium. Isn’t that ironic? Palladium was the second system I seriously played. Well, third if you consider the red/blue/teal/black box Dungeons & Dragons and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons two separate systems. Robotech was the first Palladium game I ever owned and played. I was excited when I heard that Palladium had landed the new Robotech License. So excited, I pre-ordered a copy. My copy arrived last Monday, and this is my review
Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008I live in a constant state of chaos. It makes doing anything, like posting, in a regular fashion, difficult. I guess that’s why you shouldn’t expect regular updates over here.
Since I’m not a very stable guy, I guess that’s why I’m extremely forgiving of Palladium Books. Actually I’ve come to expect slipping release dates from them ever since they announced Robotech: Invid Invasion. I used to see a release date for that book, then bike down to Games & Things (back when Stanford Shopping Center didn’t suck), and feel disappointed to find out that they pushed out the release date. I must have done that for months. Anyways that experience must have taught me never to trust Palladium Books’ release dates.
Well, when they announced Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, I pre-ordered the book in the midst of a fanboy rampage. I must admit, I half expected the company to go south before shipping. I knew better than to trust the before Christmas release date (Palladium hit on the first roll? I don’t think so). Well, they finally billed my credit card, and their press release says it’s shipping on March 20th or sooner, so it must be shipping in a couple of months.
Like Palladium Books, don’t expect a timely review out of me. I’ve got a job to do, and a house to fix.
